Production Intern 

As a Production Intern, you’ll get to advance the gospel by overseeing the execution of the weekend worship experience on campus.
 
General Responsibilities:
You’ll be a leader on the campus, executing the vision of the church and worship experience standards.
You’ll assist in the overall leadership of the campus, creating, planning and executing production for all campus-specific events including outreach events, volunteer meetings/rallies, baptisms, youth events, etc.
You’ll oversee all Production volunteers, training, structures and systems.
You’ll create and build creative elements and sermon illustrations as necessary.
You’ll maintain the campus’s technical equipment and work with the central Tech Department for repairs and upgrades.
You’ll assist in the production execution of all non-weekend special events as needed.
You’ll develop and implement an infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership, and financial viability for the area you oversee.
You’ll oversee the repair of live production equipment.
You’ll manage inventory of all technical assets across campuses, central offices, and storage facilities.
 
Must-Haves:
2+ years of technical experience
Passion for excellence in the production quality of a worship experience
Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure
A team player with excellent communication skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
Strong knowledge of AVL systems and experience in live production (camera operation, switching, theatrical lighting, and audio)
 

Marketing Project Manager Intern

As the Marketing Project Intern, you’ll get to advance the gospel by promoting the music and events of Gate City Church of Christ.
 
 
General Responsibilities:
You’ll direct the content for relevant media releases and manage the marketing budget.
You’ll present data-supported weekly updates on the performance of strategies and activities.
You’ll maintain and update the monthly marketing editorial.
You’ll be responsible for communicating all tour-related publicity requests (radio, print, interviews, podcasts, etc.) to the Lead Pastor.
You’ll facilitate publicity and ad buys.
You’ll provide quality control on all related digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, etc.) and curate for updates and accuracy, providing insights on best practices/trends.

Must-Haves:
Experience in Marketing, Communication or relevant field
Strong communicator with excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Strong administrative skills
Ability to think creatively and strategically, having excellent judgment while working in a changing environment
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Good, working knowledge of the current marketing landscape (where and how users interact and consume)
Experience and training in social media
 

Filmmaker

As a Filmmaker at Gate City Church, you will create works that inspire and inform audiences to grow in their personal faith and keep members and community abreast of church happenings.
 
General Responsibilities:
You’ll concept, write, edit, and produce scripts as needed.
You’ll develop and communicate vision for all work to solve problems concisely and creatively.
You’ll collaborate with a team to budget, cast, scout, and produce work.
You’ll manage the technical aspects of the film, including cameras, sound, lighting, design, etc.
you’ll shoot, edit and complete full ad campaigns for social media
Videos will Include both long and short form storytelling.
You’ll handle the post-production process to ensure all work solves problems appropriately.
You’ll understand the context finished work will be used to create more effective final products.
Captures, Edits, Deliver Final Ad, and finishes project in timely manner.
Plans ahead to ensure assets are delivered and approved according to the agreed upon timeline for Facebook, Instagram, and youTube
 
Must-Haves
2+ years experience in film/video making
Film portfolio available online
Extensive understanding of film-making process
Video editing proficiency (Adobe Premiere)
Inspired by telling stories in a unique and creative way
Energetic, and know how to have fun
Willingness to learn, grow in skill set, and remain flexible

Email Marketing Intern

As an Email Marketing Intern who loves strategy, you’ll take the lead in running email campaigns end-to-end, promoting the mission of Gate City Church and ensuring we stay in touch with those connected to us.
 
General Responsibilities
You’ll design and implement direct email marketing campaigns
You’ll proofread emails for clarity, grammar, spelling, and brand consistency
You’ll ensure mobile-friendly email templates
You’ll write relevant content as needed for efficient and meaningful campaigns
You’ll ensure prompt and accurate communication in line with project requests to help minimize unsubscribes
You’ll recommend best practices to expand our email list, while analyzing campaign performance and suggesting improvements
You’ll ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices
 
Must-Haves:
Proven work experience as an Email Marketer or Digital Marketing Specialist (or relevant field)
Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems
Proficiency in marketing automation technology
Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
Familiarity with analytical and database tools
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
Strong ability to work under tight deadlines
Experience with email tools (Pardot, Mailchimp, etc.)
Proficiency in Spelling and Grammar
Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
 

GCKidz Intern

As an GKidz Intern, you’ll get to advance the gospel by overseeing the area that stewards our children and parents well on a campus, including training volunteers to engage children in weekly GKidz worship experiences and empowering parents to lead and grow their child’s faith at home.
 
 
General Responsibilities:
You’ll assist in the overall leadership of the campus, ensuring all GKidz worship experiences are executed with excellence.
You’ll be a visible leader on the campus, executing the vision of the church and GKidz ministry.
You’ll oversee all GKidz volunteer teams/functions including Host Services, Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Elementary.
You’ll identify opportunities to regularly integrate GKidz into every aspect of the church.
You’ll develop and implement an infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership, and financial viability for the areas you oversee.
Research and/or develop Gkidz worship curriculum, supplies, décor, and volunteer training, scheduling, and evaluating
 
Must-Haves:
2+ years of leadership experience or equivalent life experience
Passion for children and families
High-level networking/relational strengths with an ability to execute
Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure
A team player with excellent communication skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
Great attention to detail and time-management skills
Nice-To-Haves
Management experience
Experience working or high-level volunteering for a church, non-profit, or education setting
 

College Ministry Director Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION:
 
STATUS: Part-time
HOURS: 10-20 Hours per week
 
Mission Statement:
The goal of the Campus Ministry is to build disciples for Christ, equipping them to share their faith with others. The mission of discipleship in relational environments should be a key component of the youth ministry.
 
Supervision:
The College Ministry Director reports to the Lead Pastor for spiritual and ministry guidance. The Lead Pastor provides an annual evaluation of based on an agreed Ministry Action Plan (MAP).
 
The Primary Task:
Develop and implement a comprehensive approach to college ministry. This comprehensive approach is based on the understanding of the primary task of college ministry to:
    • disciple college students into a personal relationship with God in both large group and smaller relational environments
    • grow the campus ministry by creating attractive and compelling environments to which our young adults can invite their non-Christian friends.
    • teach the Gospel and what that requires
    • provide them with opportunities for nurture and growth
    • show Jesus’ love through modeling
    • challenge them to respond to God’s call to serve in their communities and world
 
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Be an advocate for young adults and educate the congregation about the hopes, concerns and needs of young adults in the local church and community.
  2. Help plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced campus ministry.
  3. Participate in continuing education events and training opportunities.
  4. Be a liaison between the church and other community organizations,
  5. attendance at extracurricular activities, home visitations, and support during times of crisis, etc.)
  6. Attend all Staff Meetings as well as any other regular scheduled meetings
 
 
Qualifications and Aptitudes:
  1. Adhere to theology and values in harmony with Gate City Church of Christ’s mission and values as well as statements of belief
  2. Clear, observable commitment to Jesus Christ
  3. A relational and pastoral heart
  4. Professional Certification, degree, or training in Ministry or 3 plus years of experience in the area of youth ministry is preferred.
  5. Must have vision and a demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, manage and implement a campus ministry within the parameters of the church.
  6. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, conflict management skills, and computer skills.
  7. Must have a proven ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, and teams of volunteers.
